Robert Antonio Alonzo 67, was called to be with our lord on December 23, 2018. He was surrounded by his loving family at home and went peacefully into the Lords healing hands. He was born on November 9, 1951 in Edinburg, Texas.
He preceded in death by his parents Anastacio and Beatrice Alonzo. Sisters, Eva Villanueva and Nora Dimas and brother Ruben Alonzo.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Mary Grace Alonzo. His children Robert Patrick Alonzo (Yvonne) Roel Orlando Alonzo and daughter Regina Marie Alonzo and two grandchildren, Dylan Patrick Alonzo and Avianna Grace Alonzo. He was cherished by his numerous brothers and sisters and was loved by all who knew him.
He was a longtime partner of numerous H-E-B produce departments until his retirement in 2011 after 38 years of service and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
Public visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Friday, December 28 at Guardian funeral home chapel "A" with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 29 at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic church Kostoryz/SPID. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens cemetery.
