Richard S. Woods passed away on Saturday August 23, 2014. "Woody" as known by his co-workers and friends, served in the U.S. Army as a private first class. He worked at Fedway Dept. Store and retired from CCAD in 1990.
He is preceded in death by his Father: Ira Woods and his Mother: Dolores Silva Benavidez, one brother and three sisters and a step daughter.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Elvira R. Woods, sister Versa Woods Miller of Dilly, Texas, Step-son Jaime (Nancy Whitmirer) Ramirez of Edinburg, Texas, Daughters: Elsa (Donovann) Fite of New Braunfels, Texas, Laura(Jose) Tienda of Corpus Christi. One brother and four sisters. Six Grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Interment will be at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery Friday August 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.
