Richard Alan West, 62, passed away on January 7, 2025. He was born in Corpus Christi on May 17, 1962 to Ronald West and Jarleth Baskett.

Richard proudly served in the United States Army from late 1979-1984. In his spare time, Richard enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing horseshoes. Richard met the love of his life, Patrice and they were married December 31, 2009. They just celebrated their 15 year anniversary this past New Years. Richard and Patrice chose this date for a special reason, they wanted the world to celebrate along with them and fireworks would always be present. Together they became a blended family of 7, and over the years have celebrated 8 grandchildren. Richard, fondly called "PawPaw" was the most hands on, loving man to all. As he so loved the grandchildren slowly the word "No" had left his vocabulary.

If you were a friend of Richard's, your friendship was a lifetime, with that being said, you will understand that warm BudLight in the bottle was 2nd best.

Richard is proceeded in death by his Father, Ronald West and 3 sisters, Judy Thurman, Jeanette West and Janet McCampell.

He is survived by his Mother and Stepfather, Bill and Jarleth Hoffman. His wife Patrice. Children, Eric (Josie) West, Molly West, Mitchell West, Wesley (Augusta) McCampbell and Caitlin (James) Cotham and a brother Ronnie West.

Richard will be so missed by all who loved and knew him.

A Memorial Service to Celebrate Richard's life will be held at Guardian Funeral Home on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with Chapel Service starting at 10:30 a.m.
