Richard A. Trujillo, 82, died peacefully May 25, 2016. He was born June 3, 1933, in Corpus Christi, Tx, to Enrique and Refugia Trujillo. He graduated from Corpus Christi High School in 1951 and attended Del Mar College. He proudly served the United States Air Force in the Korean War from 1952 to 1955.
On April 6, 1957, he married the love of his life, Alicia Alvarez, and both created a beautiful family the next 59 years. Richard was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone, then later AT&T, for 32 years, retiring in 1988. In his lifetime he most enjoyed coaching little league baseball teams which included many of the neighborhood kids, was a member of the knights of Columbus and supported many of his children and grandchildren's activities and events. A most significant challenge for him was the necessity of undergoing a kidney transplant in 1982, and because of his brother Tom's generosity and unconditional love, this truly amazing miracle gave Richard 33 more blessed years of life with a perfect kidney to his last breath. He was an avid golfer, belonging to and support the Pan American Golf Association and all its events, holding several offices, but most of all loved playing the game every chance he got.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Henry Trujillo and sisters, Matilde Sanchez, Elvira Espitia, Ofelia Lopez.
