Richard K. Houtchens,74, passed away on September 27, 2014 peacefully with his wife and sister by his side. He was born in Clinton, Missouri and moved to Corpus Christi in December 1976, where he practiced law until retirement. He was an avid chef, fisherman & hunter. Richard leaves behind his wife, Ana O. Novak, sister, Joyce S. Davidson, children, Pam Holloway, Kirk Houtchens, step-daughter, Ana Marie Novak, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law. Services will be held at St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2014. We like to thank the caregivers at Angel Bright Hospice for the loving care provided to him during his final hours here on earth. In lieu of flowers contribution maybe made to the Epilepsy Foundation.
