Obituary

Richard was born and raised in Jackson, Minnesota. He graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Agriculture & Economics. After college he served as a 2nd Lt in the US Army, serving in Vietnam.

Richard is predeceased by his girlfriend, Mirta Moulton and his sister Joan Bond. He is survived by his partner Irene Tyndall and her daughter Crystal, his former wife Angela Frost and their sons Scott Frost, Mark (Madeline) Frost, grandchildren Maximus Addison, Marlow, Audrie, and Drake; sister Avis Fett; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Richard's life work was farming and he was a respected expert in his field. He managed McKamey Farms in Portland, Tx for over 50 years, working for his long time friend and Army buddy, Kenneth McKamey.

He had a passion for fishing and enjoyed time on the water with his family.

Richard had a quietly generous and kind spirit, always willing to help those in need.

As a remembrance, the family would like you to take a friend fishing, perform a random act of kindness or, enjoy a meal at his favorite lunch spot, Texas A1 Steakhouse in Portland, Tx in his memory.

And on the 8th day, God looked down on his planned paradise and said, "I need a caretaker." So God made a farmer. ~Paul Harvey
