Richard G Barta, at the age of 81, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017. As a life long resident of Flour Bluff, he made his living as a commercial fisherman, just as his father and brothers had.

He is survived by one daughter, Cheryl (John) Stubblefield and preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia E Holloway-Villarreal.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 2, 2017 at Waldron Road Baptist Church 2042 Waldron Rd.  Interment will follow at Duncan cemetery 2500 Debra Ln. Flour Bluff.
