Richard Ernest Adams (Ricky), 60, passed away in his home on July 5th, 2013 after a short illness. He was born on November 17, 1952 in Lubbock, Texas to Ernest and Bobbie Adams.

Ricky had a great love of baseball and football. He played for the Flour Bluff Hornets throughout his school years. After his graduation in 1971, he continued his love of the game by devoting much of his time coaching area youth.

Ricky was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Ricky is preceded in death by his father, Ernest; sister, Norma Jean Swain and nephew, Kyle Adams.

Ricky is survived by his daughter, Chrystal (Jeremy) Wilkey of Corpus Christi and his three grandsons, Preston, Chase and Brennon Wilkey. He is also survived by his mother, Bobbie, of Flour Bluff; brother-in-law, Jerald Swain, of Flour Bluff and brothers and sisters, David (Charyl) Adams of Troutdale, Oregon; Jimmy (Annetta) Adams of Port Aransas, Texas; Kenny (Karen) Adams of Santa Fe, Texas; Joy (Phil) Fredrickson of Madison, Alabama; Gary (Ann) Adams of Flour Bluff; Patty (Rick) Smith of Flour Bluff; Randy Adams of Flour Bluff; Sandy (John) Healy of Flower Mound, Texas and Cindy Adams of Arlington, Texas.

Services will be held on Friday, July 12th, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 6630 Wooldridge Drive, Corpus Christi, TX 78414.

Viewing to begin at 10:00 a.m. with services to follow at 11:00 a.m.

Interment to follow at Laguna Garden Cemetery (Duncan), 2496 Debra Lane, Corpus Christi (Flour Bluff), TX 78418.
