IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ricardo S.
Garcia
November 10, 1946 – January 22, 2024
Ricardo Serrato Garcia (Roach) 77, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on January 22, 2024. He was born in Benavides, Texas on November 10, 1946 to Abraham De Leon Garcia and Julia Serrato. He was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1964.
He enlisted in the Army during the Vietnam War and served until 1970.
Richard "Roach" was a great son, brother, uncle, cousin, father figure, and friend. He worked for CP&L Power Plant in Corpus Christi, Texas until his retirement. He had a sharp wit that would make everyone laugh. Those of us that knew him well are all glad that we were on his good side. And, he was always there when you needed help. He was a great person to look up to.
If there is a place in heaven where he can enjoy a beer, that is where he will be. He will be looking over us and having a hard laugh when we do something foolish.
Ricardo is preceded in death by his parents including Ovidio Palacios (stepfather), Eudelia G. Soto (sister), Alfred Palacios (brother).
Left to cherish his memories:
Gilbert (Belinda) Palacios, Leo (Evelyn) Palacios, Sylvia Benitez, Gracie Dickie, Rene Palacios, Debbie Hernandez, David Palacios.
He will be dearly missed by Sandra Rodriguez. Long time girlfriend and caregiver during the last few weeks of his life.
