In Loving Memory of

Rene M. Romo passed away on May 13, 2026 at the age of 72. Rene was born on March 9, 1954 in Robstown, Texas to Valeriano Romo and Carmen Mejia.

Rene is survived by His wife Diana Romo. His daughters, Melanie Romo (Jack), Jessica Schilling (Michael), Natalie Soliz (Nicolas), his sons, Rene Romo Jr (Sandra), Marcus Eric Romo (Sarah), Christopher Soliz and his brother Valeriano Romo Jr.

Grandchildren: Amaya Renea Romo(Carly), Rene Romo III, Cassandra Alexis Romo, Zaden Eric Romo, Jaxon Izaiah Romo, Chance Oliver Romo, Oscar Ozuna (Kaely) , Efrain Ozuna (Viviana),Christian Ozuna (Jazlynn), Rhyanna Ozuna (Albert) , Juan Jose Ozuna, Travys Ramirez, Angel Soliz, Xavier Soliz (Abigail), Iris Soliz , Karina Soliz

Great grandchildren: Angelita Ozuna, Emliyah Torres, Chole Soliz, Kaylanni Soliz,

Proceed in his death: father Valerino Romo Sr, mother Carmen Romo, sister MaryLou Rodarte, nephew John Lee Trevino, grand children, Alexz Marie Romo, Zoey Serenity Romo Ezekiel Zen Romo, Mother in Law Maria Garza Vallejo.

Service Information

Visitation will be held at Guardian Funeral Home on Monday, May 18th from 4pm-8pm and the Holy Rosary will be recited at 6:30pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, May 19th at Guardian Funeral Home from 8:30-11am. The Funeral Mass will be at 11:30am at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church and burial will follow at 1pm at The Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.

There will be a reception held immediately after services until 6pm at The VFW Post 3837 12030 Leopard St. Corpus Christi, Texas 78410.
