Rene Tullos Lopez, age 60, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025, In Dallas, Tx. surrounded by his loving family.
Rene was born on August 3, 1965, between San Lucas and San Ardo, in Monterey County, California, to Juan Contreras Lopez and Josephine Tullos Lopez. He was the 14th child out of 16. From an early age, Rene showed a deep love for music — a passion that became the heartbeat of his life. As a talented accordion player, his music brought joy to family gatherings, friends, and all who had the privilege to hear and see him play.
Rene shared his life with his beloved wife, Belinda Ybarra Lopez, and together they shared 29 beautiful years filled with laughter, love, and devotion. Rene's legacy lives on through his four children: Rene Lopez (Ariana), Joel Juan Lopez, Marisa Liane Lopez (Brandon), and Brando Lee Lopez (Aliyah). His greatest joy came from his growing family, especially his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
Rene is lovingly remembered by his nine grandchildren: Juliyona Marie Lopez, Briyona Nicole Lopez, Ana'lysia Ivy Lopez, Aubrey Renee Lopez, Miliana Melody Villarreal, Audrey Nicole Lopez, Arian Corona Lopez, Jordan Rene Lopez, and Michael King Lopez, with two more blessings on the way.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents Juan and Josephine Lopez, his beautiful wife Belinda Lopez and his siblings- Eulalia Gallegos, Juan T. Lopez, Leon T. Lopez, Beatriz L. Guajardo, Alberto T. Lopez, Olga L. Infante, Jesus T. Lopez, Raul T. Lopez.
He is survived by his children, grandchildren, and siblings- Aurora L. Contreras, Ernesto T. Lopez, Yolanda L. Rivas, Ma, Alicia L. Gonzalez, Enrique T. Lopez, Javier T. Lopez, and Leandro T. Lopez.
Rene will be remembered for his kind heart, his unique sense of humor, his smile, his laughter, the music that carried his soul. His love will echo in every melody and the way his music could fill any room with warmth and joy. He leaves behind a legacy of love, music, strength, and a beautiful melody that will live on through his family and all those whose lives he touched.
Public visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025 at Guardian funeral home chapel with a Holy rosary to be recited at 12:00 noon followed by Chapel service to Celebrate Rene's life at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Seaside Memorial Park cemetery 4357 Ocean Dr.
