Regina Leann Jones-Hazlett

Regina Leann Jones-Hazlett, age 58, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026, at her home in Corpus Christi, Texas, surrounded by the people and pets she loved dearly. She was surrounded by her devoted husband, David Alan Hazlett, her sister Rhonda Klug (Jones), and her beloved pets.

Regina was a loving wife, daughter, sister, stepmother, aunt, and cherished friend. She touched the lives of many people with her generous heart, warm spirit, and unwavering love for those around her.

Regina worked as an accountant for various businesses throughout her life. Following her marriage to David on June 12, 2021, Regina moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, where she quickly built a wonderful circle of friends. Her love of karaoke brought many special people into her life, and before long, those friends became family to her.

Regina had a gift for making people feel welcome and loved. Her home was often filled with the laughter and company of the people she cared about. She considered her friends to be family and cherished the lifelong friendships she had built over the years. Whether someone was related to her by blood, marriage, or simply by the bond of friendship, Regina loved them all just the same.

Regina and David shared a love of adventure and enjoyed fishing, boating, and exploring new places together whenever they could. She also had an enormous love for animals, and her beloved pets were an important part of her family and her life.

Regina is survived by her husband, David Alan Hazlett; step-son, Aaron Jacob Hazlett; father, Franklin Richard Jones; stepmother, Dorothy Jones; sister, Rhonda Klug (Jones); Roseanne Flanders and brother-in-law Tommy Flanders; Ricki Youngkin and brother-in-law Jeremy Youngkin; step-brothers Sam Latham and Jimmy Latham; step-sister Lori Towe; step-brothers Eric Towe and Kevin Towe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosa Mae Cochran-Porter; stepfather, Elmer Franklin Porter; and brother-in-law, Mark S. Klug.

Regina's greatest legacy will be the love she gave so freely. She never measured family by blood alone. She welcomed people into her heart, made them feel like they belonged, and loved them wholeheartedly. Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories of her laughter, her karaoke, her adventures, her love of animals, and the countless moments spent together in a home where there was always room for one more.

Regina will be deeply missed by her husband, family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Though she is no longer with us, the love she shared and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of those she left behind.
