Obituary

Refugio Alejandro "RA" Guzman, passed away peacefully at his home on May 20, 2017 with the love and prayers of his family surrounding him. He was born in Edinburg, Texas on December 7, 1943 to Jose and Maria Guzman. The family moved to Corpus Christi in the mid 50's. RA attended local schools and is a graduate of Mary Carroll High School. RA served his country in the U.S. Army. Shortly after his tour in the Army he started working at the Corpus Christi Army Depot where he retired from in 2001 after 36 years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Mary Valdez, Belia Guzman and Janie Guzman.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 47 years, Olga Zuniga Guzman; son, Roger Guzman, granddaughters, Aaliyah and Brooklyn; son, Richard Guzman, granddaughters, Orion, Raiden and Bree; grandsons Cole and Colby.
Brothers, Joe J. Guzman (Elida), Ramiro Guzman (Anna), Gilbert Guzman (Lorrie), and Rolando Guzman (Susie).

Thursday, May 25, 2017 a Memorial Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Guardian Funeral Home in Chapel "A".
Friday, May 26, 2017 a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2509 Nogales/MacArthur. Immediately after Mass a Reception will follow at the Guardian Hall 5813 Ayers St. Later that day Interment with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Coastal Bend State Veterans cemetery 9974 IH 37 Access Rd.
