Refugia S. Garcia

Refugia S. Garcia, age, 93, went to be with the Lord on July 15, 2013. She was born in Zapata, Texas on December 24, 1919 to Refugio Salinas and Matiana Gonzalez Salinas. Refugia was married to Ramiro Garcia, Sr. and enjoyed 69 years of marriage until his death in 2009. She was a very loving mother and grandmother and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Refugia was preceded in death by her husband, Ramiro, daughter, Yolanda Oliveira and son Alfredo Garcia.
She is survived by son Ramiro (Diana) Garcia, Jr., of Corpus Christi, Texas, and daughters, Azucena (Lupe) Briseno of Corpus Christi, Texas, Lucy (Manuel ) Arango of Orange Grove, Texas, two sisters Matiana Dominguez of Zapata, Texas and Hilda Benavidez of Corpus Christi, Texas, 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren. You will live in our hearts forever.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Guardian funeral home chapel A with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Guardian funeral home.
Burial will follow at Memory Gardens cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ramiro Garcia, III, Chris Garcia, Angel Garcia, Andy Garcia, Lupe Briseno, Jr., and Omar Briseno.
