Obituary

Raymond L. Parker of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away at age 68 at Christus Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi Shoreline on August 30, 2021.

He is preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Hazel Parker, brothers Alvin and Calvin Parker and granddaughter Kristin Parker.

He was survived by his wife Elaine Parker of Corpus Christi, Texas (who passed away on September 3, 2021) and her sons Michael, Eric and Trey Anthony; sister Sandra Beason of Burleson, Texas, brother Melvin and wife Chiquita Parker of Odessa, Texas; sister Debra and husband Raymond Lewallen of Monahans, Texas; daughters Melissa Ann Parker-Pelan and husband Chris Pelan of Aurora, Colorado and Brenda Faye Collins and husband Jackie Collins of Dayton, Texas; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Raymond was born on September 22, 1952 in Odessa, Texas and was a long-time resident prior to moving to Corpus Christi. Raymond was a 1971 graduate of Permian High School. After high school he enlisted in the Air Force serving 4 years. After leaving the Air Force he worked for Darville Refrigeration for many years and then worked for Rexene and Flint Plants in Odessa. After moving to Corpus Christi Raymond received his degree in welding. He worked for AEB Electric for a short time before finally retiring. Raymond fought cancer for the last two years of his life.

Raymond will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

The Celebration of Life for Ray and Elaine Parker will be on October 7, 2021 at the Corpus Christi Art Center from 7 p.m - 9 p.m.
