Ramona S. Saenz (Mona) age 90, of Corpus Christi, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023.
Mona was born on February 25, 1933 to Geronima and Antonio Paz in Robstown, Texas as Ester Alicia Paz. After her mother passed away, when Mona was 15 months old, Geronima's sister Bertha and her husband Manuel Saenz lovingly raised as their own. Mona resided in Corpus Christi most of her life and treasured the relationship she had with both her Saenz and Paz families. Mona had many friends and relatives and was dearly loved.
Ramona was preceded in death by her parents; Geronima and Antonio Paz, Bertha and Manuel Saenz, a son who died at childbirth, her brothers; David Saenz, Antonio Paz, Manuel Paz, Robert Paz., her brother-in-law; Jimmy Jimenez, sister-in-law; Elda Paz and her dearest nephew, Ernest Saenz.
She is survived by her sisters; Virginia (Felipe) Martinez, Ofelia Jimenez, her brother Jose (Irma) Paz and numerous nieces and nephews, who she loved as her own children.
Saenz nieces and nephews; Children of brother David Saenz; David Saenz Jr., Margie Jimenez, Carmen Davis, Nena Reyes, Diana Edwards, Joe Saenz, Vicki Norris, Angie Dobens, Robert Saenz and Jesse Saenz.
Paz nieces and nephews; Children of sister Virginia: Patricia Martinez, Laura Best, Philip Martinez, III and Fred Martinez. Children of sister Ofelia: Mary Lou Palacios, Alicia Kisner. Children of Brother Jose: Diane Salazar, Jo Anna Gannon, Rose Ann Garcia and Theresa Gonzalez. Children of Brother Antonio: Antonio Paz, Jr., Richard Paz, Ruben Paz, Roland Paz and Cynthia Paz. Children of Brother Robert: Mary Lou Vega. Children of Brother Manuel: Manuel Paz, Jr., Roel Paz, Patsy Paz and Mary Elena Paz.
All services will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic at 5830 Williams Dr., recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. that morning.
Burial will follow immediately at Holy Cross Cemetery.
