Jessie Montoya 72, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 24, 2018. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on February 27, 1946. Jessie before retiring, worked in the Corpus Christi area for over 35 years as a flooring contractor. Jessie Montoya, was known as "Chuy" by family and friends. Jessie was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Ramon and Guadalupe Montoya and siblings Jimmie Montoya, Guadalupe Montoya Estella Montoya, David Montoya, Joe Montoya, and grandchildren Sonny Lemos Montoya.
He is survived by his wife Lydia Armenta Montoya, of 54 years. His brother Gilberto Montoya, sister Ester Wyatt , his son Jessie Montoya and wife Alicia Montoya, and son Alex Montoya. Seven grandchildren, Andy, Jesse Jamie, Sergio, and Melanie Montoya, Jessica Soliz, Tara Rodriquez. Nine Great grandchildren Adriana and Gabriel Montoya, Jordan, Jazlyn, and Jayla Soliz, Ricardo, and Mia Rodriquez, Lylia Merritt and Mickey Barrios.
Public visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Monday, May 7th 2018 at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel "A" with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 8th 2018 at 10 am at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Memory Garden Cemetery.
