Obituary

In Loving Memory Of

Ramiro L. Sanchez Sr. passed away peacefully at his home in Corpus Christi, Texas, surrounded by his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 52 years, Manuela L. Sanchez; his siblings Santiago Sanchez, Liria Sanchez Long, and Conception Martinez.

He is survived by his brother, Mike Sanchez; his sons, Ramiro L. Sanchez Jr. and Rolando L. Sanchez; his beloved grandchildren, Alexis Sanchez, James Sanchez, and Eli Sanchez; and his great-grandchildren, Xander Sanchez, SaraBella Sanchez and Xaivon Sanchez. His legacy continues through them and through the love he poured into every generation. Ramiro's greatest joy in life was being a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Family was his heart and purpose. He was a man of deep and growing faith, devoting himself to Christ more strongly with each passing year.

A talented musician, Ramiro played the bajo sexto in his band and also loved playing guitar and singing. Music brought him joy, and he loved sharing that joy with others. He loved to dance, be silly, and make people laugh. He was a natural jokester with one of the purest hearts — always able to find light in any situation and never quick to judge. He truly saw the good in people and in life.

Ramiro worked at Billy Pugh Company for 55 dedicated years as a skilled net maker, a testament to his strong work ethic and loyalty. He was truly a jack of all trades — a talented mechanic and builder who could fix or create just about anything. If something needed repairing or building, he was the one you called. He was always willing to help others without hesitation.

He enjoyed watching Western movies, collecting coins, being outdoors, sightseeing, visiting museums, and learning about history. He deeply loved the state of Texas and took pride in his home and heritage.

One of his greatest joys was supporting his grandchildren. He never missed a game they played — whether it was basketball, baseball, or any other sport. He always made sure he had his popcorn and snacks ready while cheering them on from the stands. Being present for his family meant everything to him.

Ramiro will be remembered for his kindness, his faith, his laughter, his music, and the steady, loving presence he was to everyone around him. His life was a beautiful example of devotion — to his wife, his family, his faith, and his work.

Though he will be deeply missed, the love he gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
