Obituary: Ralph Albert Wickert: Ralph Albert Wickert passed away peacefully on August 30, 2018, at the sweet age of 89. Ralph was born to a farming family on June 29, 1929, in West Point, Nebraska. He served Honorably for twenty years in the Air Force, earning the Japanese Occupational Medal and The Korean Service Medal, and retired as a Staff Sargent. He later worked at CCAD for many years as an Aircraft Mechanic. Ralph was a gentle, mischievous and caring man, loved by all who took the time to know him. He is survived by his relatives from Washington, California, Nebraska, Wisconsin and Alabama: his nephews, Robert Scott Wickert, Brian C. Wickert, Gary L. Rush, Thomas R. Johnson, Lee C. Landholm, Alan Lee Wickert, and nieces Karen Ann Schlautman, Janice R. Lack, Charlene Pilger, and great-nephews Michael D. Wickert and Daniel L. Wickert. The family would like to thank Nurses on Wheels Hospice and Chaplain John for their Assistance and loving care of Ralph. Services are scheduled at Texas Coastal Bend Veterans Cemetery, on September 11, 2018, at 11:00 am. All are invited to honor this lovely veteran and their presence will be greatly appreciated.
