Pedro "Pete" Quiroz, Sr., 65, passed away July 24, 2015. He was born in Aransas Pass, Texas on January 28, 1950. Pete was a shoemaker for over 30 years, and most recently was employed with Nueces County Headstart program. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and he will be missed dearly by many. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He took great pride in serving our country with the United States Marine Corps, he voluntarily signed up in 1967 to 1969. Mr. Quiroz was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Quiroz, Sr., his 4 brothers, Ricardo Aranda Quiroz, Manuel Quiroz, Jr., Robert Bobby Quiroz, and Jesse Fields. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his beloved wife of 41 years, Diana Silva Quiroz, a son, Pedro Quiroz, Jr.,(Priscilla), one daughter, Maria Isabel Quiroz, 4 grandsons and 3 granddaughters, 5 great granddaughters, his mother, Josefa Aranda Hernandez, siblings, Patricia Fields Olguin, Pinkie Robert Fields, III, Earl Richardson Brown,step-mother, Josephina Quiroz,siblings, Jesse, Janie, Alice, Gloria and George Quiroz, numerous nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M. Friday, July 31, 2015 at Guardian funeral home chapel and Services with Military Honors will begin at 6:00 p.m.
