Pedro Rangel Moreno, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on July 29, 2026, in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the age of 78.

Pedro was born on December 30, 1947, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to his proud parents, Manuel Moreno and Wenceslada Rangel. A lifelong member of the Corpus Christi community, Pedro dedicated much of his life to serving others through his career, his military service, his art, and his involvement in the community.

Pedro proudly served in the Army National Guard. He later served his community as a peace officer with the Nueces County Sheriff’s Department, a role that reflected his commitment to helping and protecting others.

Beyond his professional service, Pedro possessed a wonderful artistic talent and generously shared that gift with his community. As a caricature artist, he volunteered his time at numerous community events, bringing smiles and laughter to countless children, families, and friends through his artwork.

Pedro was also the founder of Comic Art Therapy, combining his love of art with his desire to bring happiness, encouragement, and comfort to others. His creativity and generosity allowed him to touch the lives of many people throughout the years.

Above all, Pedro treasured his family. He was a devoted husband and loving father whose greatest legacy will live on through the family he loved so dearly.

Pedro is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Moreno and Wenceslada Rangel, and his siblings, Manuel Moreno and Janie Gomez.

Pedro is survived by his beloved wife, Lydia Moreno; his three children, Christina Albiar, Daniela Rayburn, and Robert Moreno; seven cherished grandchildren; and one beloved great-grandchild. He is also survived by his stepbrother, Manuelito, and stepsister, Margot, along with extended family members, friends, colleagues, and members of the community whose lives he touched.

Though Pedro’s earthly journey has ended, the love, laughter, creativity, and memories he shared will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

May he rest in eternal peace, and may perpetual light shine upon him.
