On Friday, September 15, 2023, the good Lord called home Pedro Banda Jr. at the age of 65. He was a beloved Father, Brother, Grandfather, Son, Friend, and U.S Army Veteran. Pedro was born on August 1, 1958 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Pedro Banda Sr. and Juanita Pineda.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters George Cano, Richard (Gloria) Trevino, Linda Salazar, and Norma (Armando) Ortiz; Children: Pedro Banda III, Raymond (Alannah) Banda, Bruce (Natalie) Banda, Matthew (Ashley) Banda, Arnold (Madalyn) Banda, and Melinda (Adrian) Flores; 16 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his Mother- Juanita Pineda, Dad- Elias Reyes, Father- Pedro Banda Sr., Brother- Adam Banda, and Sister- Belinda Reyes.

He devoted his time entirely to his family, and his sacrifices allowed him to raise 6 beautiful children and to provide undying support to them all. His family extends from the siblings he protected to all the kids he raised and embraced as his own.

He was a free spirit and a true family man. He taught us respect, loyalty, love, and instilled forgiveness with hugs and kisses. But most importantly, at the forefront of it all he taught us "Family Sticks Together," and we will forever carry that with us in our hearts and in our minds.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 25th at Guardian Funeral Home from 4 :30pm-8:30pm with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:30pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church located at 1109 N Staples St, Corpus Christi, TX 78401 Tuesday, September 26th at 11 :30am with the Burial to follow at The Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 1pm.
