Pedro Gutierrez, of Mission, Texas passed away on November 12, 2016 at the age of 89. He was born on February 15, 1927 to Atanacio and Adelina Gutierrez in Mission, Texas. Pedro was a veteran of World War II, where he earned an Army Accommodation Metal. He will be remembered for his love of music and movies. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Pedro was preceded in death by his wife, Jovita Gutierrez; a son, Arnold Gutierrez and a daughter, Velma Gutierrez; parents; two sisters Eva Gutierrez and Emma Escamilla and a brother Adan Gutierrez.
Survivors include; two sons Joe Albert (Elva) Ybanez and Pedro Luis (Rosie) Gutierrez; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and two brothers, Henry (Neira) Gutierrez and Robert (Cecilia) Gutierrez.
Public visitation will be from 5-9 pm and prayer service will be held at 7 pm on Tuesday November 15, 2016 at Guardian Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 am on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Guardian Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
