Paula Liñan Peña, 86, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 29, 1935 in Corpus Christi, Texas to her parents Felix and Bonifacia Liñan.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.
Paula was a dedicated servant of God, who taught her family to be strong in their faith, loyal, independent and caring. She had a very generous heart; without hesitation she volunteered countless hours at Holy Family Catholic Church serving the parish in various capacities throughout the years.  Although our hearts are broken to lose her; this great legacy of love, which she left, will sustain us for generations to come.

Paula joins now in heaven her beloved husband of 57 years Ricardo Peña; parents: Felix and Bonifacia Liñan; siblings: Isidra, Geronimo, Francisca, Juan, Salome, and Augustin.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories, children: Jesus Ricardo, Sr., Carlos (Janie), George (Maryann), Jaime, Javier, Araceli (Homer), Mary; grandchildren: Jesus Ricardo, Jr., Marco Antonio, Juan Carlos, Joshua, Joaquin, Michael, Jennifer, Stephanie, Catherine, Priscilla, Ashley, Kimberly, Abigail, Teresa, Lorenzo, Araceli Paula; 17 great-grandchildren, along with numerous other members of the family whom she loved, to include Levina, Cynthia, Beatrice – all of whom spent many years as her daughters-in-law.

The family wishes to pay tribute to the dedicated staff of Del Cielo Hospice for the compassion and love that was shown to our mother; we thank you sincerely.

All Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. in Chapel A of Guardian Funeral Home; the funeral procession will depart at 11:00 a.m. to Holy Family Catholic Church for an 11:30 a.m. Holy Rosary and 12:00 p.m. Funeral Mass; Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
