Paul Michael Munson, age 50, passed away on August 23, 2023 at home surrounded by his family.

He was born on October 26, 1972 to Ronald and Deborah Munson in Houston, Texas and was raised in Beeville, Texas. Following his graduation in 1992 from Coronado High School of Lubbock, Texas, Paul proudly enlisted in the Marine Corps. Over the course of his life he was granted the opportunity to work several different jobs. Among his favorites were ultra sound tech, truck driving, oil field work, and starting his own contracting business PR Acquisitions.

Paul loved spending quality time with his family, listening to Jesse Duplantis, smoking briskets on the weekend, and going to the rodeo. Paul also shared a love of vehicles with his family often volunteering to assist them with car projects, going on Harley rides together, and enjoying weekends out on the water in the boat. He also loved long drives in his Dodge truck, affectionately known as "Big Blue." He greatly enjoyed both hunting and fishing. Among his most notable accomplishments are landing a 5'8" Black Tip Shark and a 4' Cobia, as well as successfully harvesting a 12-point Red Stag.

He was extremely proud of his son, Briton Munson, and all his accomplishments. He loved his grandchildren and was always teaching them how to fish, ride a skate board, and Spanish. He loved his dogs and teaching them various tricks. He also had a passion for hosting exchange students and showing them what America was all about.

Paul was a devout Christian, and his love of God is what made him the man he was. He is now in heaven where he is asking all the questions, he said he would ask when he had the chance to meet Jesus in person.

Paul is preceded in death by his mother Deborah Lynne Munson and Trevor Dean "Uncle Stephen" Foit.

Paul leaves behind his wife Melissa Munson, his father Dr. Ronald Munson, his son and daughter-in-law Briton and Jordan Munson, his grandchildren Hadlee, Maddox, and Beckett, his sister and brother-in-law Tara and Edward Hernandez and their children Gabriel, Isabella, and Iliana Hernandez. Stepchildren Isaac R. Perez, Isabella Victoria Perez and her son Grayson Salinas, Natalie Perez and her children Lindsey and Leilani Olivarez who will all miss him tremendously.

To honor Paul's memory and life, his family has planned a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Guardian Funeral Home, 5922 Crosstown (SH 286 N. Access Rd.) Corpus Christi, Texas 78417.

Inurnment with Full Military Honors will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 IH 37 Access Rd. Corpus Christi, Texas 78410
