Patrick Barrera, 67, went to his Lord on May 26, 2016. He was born on May 13, 1949 to Fred and Sofia Barrera in Amarillo, TX. He was raised in Amarillo and proudly served his country in the United States Army and is a Vietnam Veteran. He retired from the Corpus Christi Army Depot after 40 years of service as a Toolmaker. Patrick was preceded in death by his father, Fred Barrera and the mother of his children, Yolanda Barrera. He is survived by his mother, Sofia Barrera, loving wife Cindy, his daughter Yvonne (Arthur) Gomez, his son Paul (Tammy) Barrera, his grandchildren, Arthur Patrick Gomez, Mia Sofie Gomez, Aspen Sky Barrera and Lukas River Barrera, his siblings Susie (Don) Candelaria, Rudy (Margaret) Barrera, Carolyn (Robert) DeLosSantos, Tim Barrera, Steve (Kim) Barrera, numerous nieces andnephews and many beloved friends.
Pallbearers will be Arthur Patrick Gomez, Gabriel Reyes, Isaiah Aleman, Robert Flores, Jr., and Bobby Flores. Lukas Barrera will be honorary pallbearer. Public visitation will be on Tuesday, May 31 from 5-9 p.m. Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. and services will be held on Wednesday, June 1 at 10 a.m. at El Buen Pastor United Methodist Church. Burial Services will follow at noon at Coastal Bend Veterans Cemetery. Reception will follow after burial services at El Buen Pastor United Methodist Church.
