Patricia
Tamez
May 27, 1965 – March 31, 2026
In Loving Memory Of
Patricia “Pat” Tamez, born May 27, 1965, passed away on March 31, 2026. She was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. To her family, she was so much more—she was a best friend, a confidant, and someone who always knew what to say when it mattered most.
Pat was a strong, independent woman, shaped by life’s challenges, balancing the demands of home, career, and family with love and determination. While some may not have understood the choices she had to make, no one could ever question the depth of her love for her children. Like a mother lion, she fiercely protected her family and stood strong through every storm.
She is survived by her children: Andrew Benavidez (Inez) and Adan Benavidez IV ; her grandchildren Katelyn Benavidez, Aiden Benavidez, Adan Benavidez, Anthony Benavidez , Joel Del Llano and Braylon Soto who brought her endless joy; her mother Evangeline Tamez; and her brothers: Rick Tamez, Rafael Tamez (Sylvia), Luis Tamez, and Eugene Tamez (Monica), Along with long time boyfriend David Del Llano. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever cherish her memory.
Pat is preceded in death by father Luis Tamez; grandparents Felipe and Caroline Rodriguez and sister in law Nydia Tamez.
Pat loved Jesus and prayed regularly. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she shared many meaningful conversations about faith, family, and life with those close to her.
She was also a loyal and fearless friend—someone who would always have your back and stand up for the people she loved. Pat had a generous heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. She was truly a beautiful person inside and out.
To me, she was more than a sister—she was my best friend. She never forgot a birthday, always calling to sing “Happy Birthday” on speaker so we could share that joy together. Those calls will be deeply missed, and I would give anything to hear her sing one more time.
This is not goodbye. It is simply until we see each other again in heaven with our Father, Jesus Christ. Amen.
