Pablo Basaldua, Jr., 93, went home to be with the Lord on July 7, 2014. He was born on July 2, 1921 in Berclair, Texas. He retired from Asarco Refinery after 30+ years of service, and he enjoyed working outdoors, Barbecuing, socializing with family and spending time with his grandkids, always ready to party and enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pablo Basaldua, Sr., and Gertrudis Delgado Basaldua, his wife, Josephine Guerrero Basaldua. He is survived by his children, Mary (Bobby) Martinez, Joanne (Joe) Girdner, Carlos Basaldua, Joe (Mary Lou) Basaldua, Oscar (Linda) Basaldua, fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Guardian funeral home with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 11, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1308 Comanche St. All Services will conclude after the funeral Mass.
