Obituary

Orlynn Richard Rogers Sr. aka Richard, age 70, passed away on Sunday July 6th, 2025. Richard was born on March 11th, 1955 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Orlynn and Louise Rogers. He graduated from Calallen High School in 1974, and was on the golf team. He was a hard worker in all of his jobs in the maintenance field, and worked for CCISD Natatorium until his retirement in 2024.

Richard loved wood working, spending time outdoors, fishing, and watching the Dallas Cowboys. Go Cowboys! But his favorite hobby was spending time with his wife of 37 years.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents Orlynn and Louise Rogers; Mother in law Granny Langford; his sisters Janice Morsbach, Connie Rogers and Kathy Echevarria; brother in laws Buddy Hayman and Randy Langford; nephew Wesley Langford.

He is survived by his beloved wife Brenda Rogers, daughter Kori Harbison of Oklahoma City, OK; Sons Justin Langford(Tia) of Orange Grove, TX, Orlynn Richard Rogers Jr. (Ricky) of Corpus Christi; sister Cindy Hayman of Canton, TX; sister in law Karen Vetters(Bill) of Corpus Christi, TX; brother in laws Terry Langford(Patty) of Corpus Christi, TX, Bart Langford(Deonna) of Manvel, TX.

Grandkids Dillon Lavarnway(Lexi) of Oklahoma City, OK, Hunter Langford(Rhylee) of Corpus Christi, TX. Keeley and Keegan Harbison of Oklahoma City, OK; Jamison and Jalynn Langford of Orange Grove, TX; Brinlee and Bennett Rogers of Corpus Christi, TX; Great grandson Callahan Langford of Corpus Christi, TX.

Nephews Ty, Jason(Heather), Cody(Kelsi), Phillip, Charles, Danny, Zach, Victor; nieces Amanda, Cara, Lucy(Frank), Lynn(Dan).

Great nephew and niece Cameron & Emma Langford. Though they were greats, they had a special bond with Richard.

Special friends Tom, Sharon, Minda, Stephen, and many more.

A celebration of life will be held July 19th, 2025 at 4pm in Orange Grove, TX. Please contact Justin, Ricky, or Jason for details and address.

Richard will forever hold a place in each of our hearts, and will be missed deeply.
