Orlando "Ben" Alonzo Benavides, 71, passed away on Wednesday June 3, 2020 in Corpus Christi, TX. Ben was born on October 16, 1948 to Alonzo and Antonia Benavides. He dedicated his professional life to law enforcement at the Nueces County Sheriff's Department where he retired from the criminal investigation department. He was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife and companion of 30 years, Marivel Benavides, his children, Mario Benavides, Monica (Sean) Stuber, Natalie (Chris) Brindisi, Ellie Ramirez, grandchildren, Summer Stuber, Sophia Stuber, Maisie Coleman, Matthew Carter, Melissa Carter, Zion Brindisi and his sister, Alma (Leo) Garcia and brother Alonzo Benavides.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 8, 2020 from 5:00pm-9:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm at Guardian Funeral Home, 5922 Crosstown, Corpus Christi, TX 78417. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 10:00am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 710 S 19th St, Corpus Christi, TX 78405, followed by burial at Rose Hill Cemetery at 11:30am.
