IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Oralia V.
Ramirez
February 20, 1944 – December 12, 2021
Oralia Villarreal Ramirez, 77, was called to her eternal resting place on Sunday, December 12, 2021. She was born in Corpus Christi TX to Jose and Candelaria Villarreal on February 20, 1944.
Oralia graduated from Roy Miller High School, class of 1963. Her love for being around people reflected in her choice of employment: CCISD Crossing Guard, Spohn Hospital Unit Clerk, and a secretary at Tom Browne Junior High School. She made life-long friendships that became family.
She was a legacy of love as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She had many names: Honey, Mama, Mom, Lolly, Ya Ya and GiGi. She loved to play bingo, enjoyed her outings with her daughter Norma, and loved spending time with all her grandkids. Without hesitation, she wouldn't miss the opportunity to dance, create TikToks with family, and would never say no to any game, no matter how crazy it would be!
Oralia was a true servant of God. There are countless stories that have been shared how she would help all in need, no matter what the cost or distance. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life. She poured her heart and soul to her loving husband, caring selflessly until her last breath. Through her fight, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. She loved fiercely and deeply. We take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace.
She is preceded in death by Jose Villarreal (father), Candelaria Villarreal (mother), Romana Flores (sister), Mary Ester Serna (sister), Jose Villarreal (brother), Richard Villarreal (brother) and Manuel Arredondo (brother).
Left to cherish her memory, are her husband Jesus Ramirez, Jr. of 56 years; children, Norma Rodriguez (Robert), Cindy Garcia (George), and Nelda Garibay (Sam); sister Aurora V. Garza and brother Mando Villarreal; 8 grandchildren – Jake Garcia, Roel Martinez, Kassandra Velasquez, Samson Garibay, Jesse Garibay, Joshua and Julianna Garcia, and Levi Garibay; and 4 great grandchildren – Renaeyah Martinez, Jacob Velasquez, Julius Velasquez, and Avyanna Velasquez.
The family would like to say thank you to Dr. Cortese, Dr. Alexander, Spohn Shoreline ICU nurses, Home Instead Providers Kris Viera, Moses Mesa, Debra Martinez and Carol Cederstrom along with Angel Bright Hospice personnel. Your love, care, and dedication to Oralia will forever be appreciated.
Rosary will be recited Friday, December 17, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. followed with a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Christ the King Church.
