Our dear mother Oralia Diaz sadly passed away on March 28th, 2024, at the age 75.

She was full of life and laughter. She loved to go on vacation and unwind by going to the Casinos. Her grandchildren brought life to her along with her great grandchildren. She worked at Kinder Care for 24 years and continued her education to better herself. She was a wonderful mother, wife, sister daughter Grandma and great-grandmother and mother-in-law. She was always there when you needed her. She had many friends and was well - loved.

She is joined now in heaven by her beloved mother Hiliara Cuevas Castillo; father Jose Castillo; brothers: Jose Luis "Viche", Alfredo "Freddy", and sister Yolanda "Yoli".

Oralia Castillo Diaz is survived by the following: Husband Jose Diaz Jr.; Children: Joey Diaz III (Tommie), Elizabeth (Rigoberto), Marcos Antonio (Angie), Juan Franscio and family, Veronica and family, Norma Linda (Jimmy). She has 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Brothers and sisters: Adolfo (Della), Hortencia (Manuel), Janie, Olga, George (Rosalba), Dolores and family, Rosa and family, Aurelio (Melissa).

Public Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2024, at Guardian Funeral Home, 5922 Crosstown, with the Holy Rosary to be celebrated at 6:30 p.m. that evening.

Visitation will resume at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Guardian FH, with the funeral procession to depart at 10:30 a.m. to SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 3210 S. Padre Island Dr./Kostoryz, for an 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass

Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 IH 37 Access Rd.

Reception will follow at VFW Post 3837, 12030 Leopard St, Corpus Christi, Texas 78410.
