Olga E. Hinojosa, age 92, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, at her home in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Olga was born in Beeville, TX on June 23, 1933, but moved to Corpus Christi when she met the love of her life, Uvaldo Hinojosa Sr.  In Corpus she lived her life as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.  Nothing brought her more happiness than being around her family and grandchildren during barbeques, birthdays, holidays and other celebratory occasions. Family was her pride and joy.

She found great pleasure in visiting with family and friends.  Olga loved cooking and her tamales and rice recipes a must at family gatherings.  At many family events, you could often find her playing a friendly game of poker with her loved ones.  Her beautiful smile would light up the room, especially when she left the game with her winnings-- which was quite often.

She loved traveling, but her visits to Pahrump and Las Vegas were always her favorites.  Olga was a shining light in all our lives.
Olga will always be remembered for her smile, her laughter around the poker table, and the love she shared through every meal and family occasion.

Olga is preceded in death by her husband, Uvaldo Hinojosa, her mother, Carmen Pacheco, brothers, Johnny (Esther) and Robert Pacheco (Mae), daughter in law Olivia Hinojosa and various nieces and nephews.

Olga is survived by her children: Robert (Diamantina), Yvonne (Armengol), Yvette (Fred) and Uvaldo Jr.   Her grandchildren: Elias, Eloy, Eric, Tykeya, Carlos, Marcos, Ashley, Amber, and Alana.  Her great-grandchildren: Jordan, Elena, Emily, Emma, Vivian, Wyatt, Camerin, Matteo, James, Isa, Maverick, and Riley.  Her great-great- grandchildren: Azalea and Jason.

Special thanks to all the caregivers who assisted her during her time of need.

Pallbearers will be Eric Jimenez, Elias Hinojosa, Eloy Hinojosa, Carlos Rivera, Matteo Jimenez and James Ferrell.

Funeral services:

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 9:00 am at Guardian Funeral Home located at 5922 Crosstown, Corpus Christi, Texas 78417. The Holy Rosary to start at 10:30am. A Funeral Mass to follow at 12:00 pm at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church located at 3502 Saratoga Blvd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. Interment at Rose Hill Cemetery to follow.
