IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Odon Perez,
Sr.
October 3, 1952 – February 25, 2026
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Odon Perez, who entered eternal rest on the morning of February 25, 2026. Odon was born on October 3, 1952, in Premont, Texas, to Porfirio Perez Sr. and Celia Villarreal Perez. He spent his childhood in Premont before moving to Corpus Christi, where he lived most of his adult life. He later moved to Sandia, Texas, where he eventually retired. In his final years, Odon made his home in Port Lavaca, Texas, near Alamo Beach, where he found peace in the morning sunrises and evening sunsets, always with a cup of coffee in hand.
Odon was remembered for his deep love of fishing and hunting. If you ever stopped by his home and he wasn't there, it never took long to figure out where he had gone, he was either out on the water with a fishing pole in hand or on a lease enjoying the quiet of the outdoors. He had a gift for making people laugh. Bringing a smile to someone's face wasn't just something he enjoyed; it was a personal goal he took pride in. Odon loved to tinker—fixing boat motors, building his own hunting blinds, and working on anything he could get his hands on. If you asked him for help, he showed up—whether he knew how to do the task or not. His willingness to lend a hand came from the heart. No one was ever a stranger to Odon. He made friends effortlessly with anyone he met. His character spoke for itself—bright, warm, eager, and full of love.
Odon Perez is preceded in death by his parents, Porfirio L. Perez and Celia (Villarreal) Perez and sister-in-law, Eunice (Soto) Perez.

(Jorge) Tovar of Corpus Christi TX, Cherrie Moreno Johnson of Port Lavaca TX, Veronica Perez of Corpus Christi TX and Gina Perez of Plain View TX and (2) sons: Michael (Kandice) Moreno of Mathis TX and Odon (Victoria) Perez Jr. of Port Lavaca, TX.
