Odilia Escobar Jimenez, age 95, was received into the house of the Lord on November 1, 2016. > She was preceded in death by her parents, Eleuterio and Andrea Escobar. Her loving husband, Nicolas. Her son, Nicolas Jr. and her daughter, Lupita Elmore. Her brothers, Eligio, Ramiro and Roque Escobar and sisters, Mary (Joe) Flores and Alicia Escobar; and sister-in-laws, Beatrice and Corina Escobar. > She was a loving, caring woman who took care of her family. Among the things she enjoyed were flowers, sewing, bingo and getting together with family and friends to play cards. > Her family will always remember her gentle hands and the wonderful meals she made for them. > No words can describe the newest angel in Heaven. > She is survived by her daughters, Lydia Diana (Ralph) Garza and Odilia Gloria (Candelario) Saenz, all of Corpus Christi, and a son, Noe Javier (Nora) Jimenez, of San Antonio, a daughter in law, Esmeralda Charles and a son in law, Albert Elmore. > Her brothers and sisters, Ricardo (Lita) Escobar, Rogelio (Connie) Escobar, Rafael Escobar, Eleuterio Escobar, Andrea (Oscar) Hinojosa, Angie (Jesse) Adame, Polly Lopez; sister in laws, Juanita and Jesusa Escobar. > Her grandchildren, Vilma and Melissa Jimenez, Jacquin (Jessica) Saenz, Christina (Alex) Garza, Jessica (Raymond) Guerra, Leticia, Alexsandro, Samantha and Sophia Grace Jimenez. > Nine great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren with one on the way. > The family would like to thank the hospice caregivers for their excellent care. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2016 at Guardian funeral home chapel "A" with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016 at St. Patrick Catholic church, 3350 S. Alameda Rd. Burial will follow at Seaside Memorial Park. A Reception will follow at the Guardian Hall 5813 Ayers St.
