On Tuesday, November 3, 2015 the world lost a fighter. Norma Solis, 54, has passed on after ending her long fought battle of liver disease. She was born to Armandina and Roel Solis on May 18, 1961 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She attended W.B. Ray High School where she graduated from in 1979. Norma was a strong, selfless woman who found great joy in fulfilling the happiness of others. She had a strong passion for bowling, singing karaoke, dancing, and gambling at various casinos. She also loved spending her days with her children and grandchildren where she expressed her unconditional love for them. She positively touched the world with her humorous, outgoing, and generous character. She consistently presented a glowing example by maintaining a positive attitude through any challenging aspects that were placed before her.
She was predeceased by her parents; a brother, Harlan Solis.
Survivors include her sons, Adam and Aric Reyna of Corpus Christi, Texas; her daughter, Kimberlee (Joseph) Zamora of Corpus Christi, Texas; her grandchildren, Noah and Josiah Zamora, and Ashton and Aric Reyna of Corpus Christi, Texas. Norma is also survived by her brothers, Homer (Rosie) of Skidmore, Texas, and Henry (Jose) Solis of Corpus Christi, Texas; her sister Nancy (Arthur) Ruiz of Surprise, Arizona. Public visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2015 at Guardian funeral home chapel "A" with a Holy Rosary and Celebration of Norma's life to begin at 7:00 p.m. that evening. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic church, 2509 Nogales/MacArthur. A Reception will follow at the Guardian Reception Hall 5813 Ayers/Carolyn.
