Noreen (Alexis) Bartley passed quietly in her home on January 6th , 2023 while bravely battling cancer. She was born on June 6, 1963, in Scranton PA. Daughter of parents Richard Alexis (d. 1975) and Mary Popewchak (d.2008). Beloved sister of Cheryl Alexis.

She is survived by her caring husband Peter Bartley, step-daughter Sarah (Carlton) Walls, step-grandson Crosby Walls, step-son Brian (LeAnne Woods) Bartley and step-granddaughter's Kennedy and Avery. She was known to all as Nee-Nee.

She was preceded in death of her loving brother Ricky Alexis (d. 1969). Noreen had a beautiful smile and laugh. She was kind, generous and compassionate. She loved her cats, brother's Chester and Jaxs.

Noreen was a U.S. Army civilian for 37 years. She spent the last 20 years supporting the U.S. Army Logistics Modernization Program. She travelled all over the country visiting Army depots and arsenal's where she was well respected and made many friends. She was also well respected by her co-workers for her knowledge and abilities. Noreen has received numerous awards throughout her professional career, including the Department of the Army Meritorious Civilian Service Award upon her retirement on 29 August 2020 for her expertise, experience, work ethic, leadership, and contributions delivered unquestionable support to the Army's mission delivering equipment and materiel to Soldiers when and where the needed it. She enjoyed playing with her cats, (brother's) Chester and Jaxs and occasional visits to the casino.

She loved her new home in Texas after retiring and enjoyed going to the beach and her pool. She will be desperately missed by all those she left behind. Our hearts are broken by her passing.

There will be a Memorial Service held on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Guardian Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m.

Inurnment will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 IH 37 Access Rd.
