IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Noe Garcia,
Jr.
July 2, 1979 – September 27, 2024
Noe "Sonny" Garcia, Jr., born July 2, 1979 unexpectedly passed away September 27, 2024 at the age of
45 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Sonny was born and raised in Concepcion, Texas. He then moved to Corpus Christi, Texas and graduated from Mary Carroll High School. Corpus became his home so that he could be close to his family. However, he always considered "La Chona" his home.
Sonny had so much love for his nieces and nephews. He loved being an uncle! Anytime he'd see them, he'd make sure he didn't leave without giving them something from their "Tio Sonny." He loved to barbecue with family and friends and reminisce and share stories from "back home". He was a true force of nature. He had a knack for taking things apart and then putting them back together. However, he wasn't always successful. He enjoyed sitting by the water and watching the sun rise and set. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed going to the ranch with his father and making beef jerky afterwards. Sonny was most definitely a talker. You couldn't get a single word in once the conversation got started! He loved telling jokes and making people laugh. He also dabbled in art. Most recently, he created a beautiful watercolor painting of he and his dad that will forever be treasured!
Sonny is survived by his loving parents; Noe and Iris Garcia from Corpus Christi, Texas; his sisters Beckie (Oscar) Hinojosa from Corpus Christi, Texas, Mary Alice (Jaime) Trueba from Helotes, Texas and Rosemary ((Eric) Garcia-Fuentes of Corpus Christi, Texas. Four loving nieces: Savannah Rose Flores, Kaileigh Marie Trueba, Breanah Trueba, Mirandah Trueba and two nephews, Oscar Daniel Hinojosa and
Patrick Eric Fuentes.
Sonny is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bensabio and Matilde Yzaguirre, his paternal grandparents, Flumencio and Lilia Garcia and his niece, Anyssa Nicole Hinojosa, as well as numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 12:30 p.m . at Guardian Funeral Home with a burial to follow at Seaside Memorial Cemetery.
