Obituary

In Loving Memory of Nicandro “Nick” Armijo

It is with profoundly heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nicandro “Nick” Armijo, who passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026.

Nick was a loving husband, father, grandfather, cousin, and friend whose laughter, humor, and warm spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He was known for his love of singing Vicente Fernández songs, telling jokes, playing pool, enjoying scratch-off tickets, and, most importantly, spending time with his family and friends.

Nick’s greatest love was his wife, Odi, with whom he shared 36 wonderful years of marriage. Their life together was filled with simple moments that became treasured memories—walking along the bayfront, going on outings, visiting flea markets, enjoying outdoor barbecues, and attending Sunday Mass together. Nick cherished every moment he spent with Odi, the love of his life.

Nick was a devoted father to his son, Michael (Joanna), and his daughter, Kristie Galaviz, who was a true diamond in her father’s eyes. His love for his children was unconditional, and his family was always at the center of his heart.

He was an especially proud grandfather to his four granddaughters, Derian Denise, Delilah Devon, Laighla Michelle Barnes, and Lailani Renee, who were his entire world. He also adored his two grandsons, Keanu and Kamdyn, and took great pride in watching his grandchildren grow.

Nick will also be lovingly remembered by his favorite cousins, Rod Deluna and Albert Garza, with whom he shared many cherished memories, and his very special friend, Alicia Losoya, whom he considered a sister.

Nick leaves behind a lifetime of memories filled with laughter, music, family gatherings, jokes, pool games, and love. His absence will leave an emptiness in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, but his memory will live on through his family and the countless lives he touched.

Nick may no longer be with us in person, but his laughter will echo in our memories, his songs will live on in our hearts, and the love he gave his family will continue through generations.

Rest peacefully, Nick. You were deeply loved, you will be forever missed, and you will never be forgotten.
