On November 19, 2024 Nancy Elzner (nee Weber) passed away with her son comforting her. She was born in Nyack, New York on June 3, 1947. She graduated from Nyack High School in 1964 and then attended Cobleskill Junior College for 2 years. She then attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a B.S. degree in Animal Science in 1970. It was here that she met her husband of 54 years, Dennis Elzner. His career moved them to Alabama then North Carolina before returning back to Corpus Christi, Texas in 1977.

Nancy had a love of horses from an early age. She regularly participated in horse shows in her youth and rode them daily at the family farm. She also found time to coach and then referee youth soccer up through the 1990's. In 1984 her soccer team won the state regional playoffs. Nancy returned to college to get her teaching degree from Texas A&M Corpus Christi in 1984. After that, she taught in CCISD for 25 years. She spent most of those years teaching at Montclaire Elementary School. Once retired, her daughter Heather got her into making custom hand-crafted jewelry. She sold her rings, bracelets, necklaces, and earrings at local markets through-out the Coastal Bend. She made many great friends at these markets.

Nancy is preceded in death by her mother Rosalind Haas, her father Irving Weber, and her brother John Weber.

She is survived by her husband Dennis Elzner, her son Dan Elzner, and her daughter Heather Elzner.

A Memorial Service will be held at Guardian Funeral Home on Nov. 27, 2024 from 10:00am - 1:00pm. The actual service will begin at 12:00 noon. The address is 5922 Crosstown Access Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78417.
