Monica Raquel Morales, age 45, was called to heaven on February 1, 2026, in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Monica was a devoted mother, loving daughter, caring sister, and cherished fiancée. She was deeply creative, with a special gift for cooking, decorating, and hosting holidays that brought family and friends together. Monica had a generous spirit and found joy in helping others, always offering her time, care, and warmth to those around her. Her home and heart were open to everyone, and her presence made ordinary moments feel special.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Pedro and Filiberta Garibay and her paternal grandfather, Jose Morales Sr.

Monica is survived by her devoted parents, Jose and Fili Morales. Her children, Joselyn, Gerard and Jay Arriaga. Her sisters, Cristina Morales and Alyssa (Jason) Galvan. Her wonderful Fiancée, James Hernandez, who loved Monica and her children unconditionally. Paternal grandmother, Maria Elena Morales.  Also, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members who will forever treasure her love, laughter, and memory.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Aunt Diana Garza for sitting with and comforting the family during the moments when it was needed most. Friends who dropped off snacks and drinks. Heartfelt gratitude is also extended to the ICU nurses at Bay Area Hospital on the 2nd and 3rd floors, especially Kayla and Katherine, for their compassion, care, and dedication.

Public visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Guardian funeral home with a Holy Rosary to be held at 6:00 p.m.
