IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Minerva Montemayor
Zamora
May 10, 1938 – November 10, 2023
Minerva Montemayor Zamora, 85, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2023.
She was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas to Melquides (Mary) Elizondo and Apolonio (Paul) Montemayor, and is survived by her husband, Eduardo, her daughters, Monica Alyse Zamora and Laura Zamora, one grandchild, Bianca Nichole Trevino (Kenton Dale Trevino), and one great grandchild, Amelia Nichole Trevino.
Minerva was dedicated to her faith in God, was a devout Catholic, and member of Schoenstatt in Rockport, Texas as well as Holy Family Catholic Church in Corpus Christi. She would often "reset" by attending silent retreats, and served the community as a source of comfort on the bereavement team at Holy Family.
She graduated from Roy Miller High School and was part of a tight group of ladies, ranging from high school friends to new friends, and they would meet regularly.
Minerva loved to sew and would make formal dresses and costumes for her girls as well as crafts and décor for her home. Minerva's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She loved dancing, and her smile and laugh were contagious. Her friends and family remember her as someone full of life, who they could trust to always be there for support. Minerva was resilient, surviving breast cancer and battling dementia late in life. Her family is thankful her mind, body, and spirit are now at peace. She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
