Minerva "Minnie" Sanchez Cisneros, 88, of Corpus Christi, TX, was called home by her Heavenly Father on May 17, 2017.
She graced us with her presence on October 23, 1928 in Kingsville, TX. Born to loving parents Eliseo and Audelia Sanchez, she was a 1947 graduate of Corpus Christi High School. Go Bucs!
She is welcomed into heaven by those who preceded her in death- her parents, her husband, Arthur Cisneros, her loving daughter and sons, David, D'Ann and Daniel Cisneros as well as her brother, Alec Sanchez and her sister, Alice Shelton.
Minerva is survived by her daughter, Diana Cisneros, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Minnie was a devoted daughter, wife, and mother, and a loyal employee of Woolworth who retired after 25 years of service. She was an absolute powerhouse of energy and positive spirit that was infectious to all who crossed her path. She had a very giving and welcoming personality and had a willingness to help anyone in need. She truly exemplified the "Virtuous Woman" as set forth in Proverbs 31:10-31. She was, and will always be, loved and adored by her family. She will be deeply missed by all.
The family would like to give a heartfelt THANK YOU to all who helped with Minnie's care-specifically to the loving team of New Century Hospice; to Rev. Suzanne Kemp for her love, prayers, and encouraging guidance during this difficult time; Mrs. Jean Garza who on many occasions helped lighten the load with her encouragement and support; and to Felicia Fuentes who was God-sent to us in His perfect timing in the final months of caring for Minnie.
Memorial Services will be held at Guardian Funeral Home on Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 11:00-1:00 pm
