Obituary
He was born August 16, 1948 in Wellington, TX to Milford and Abbie Harris. He graduated from Wellington High School in 1966 and earned his Bachelors degree in Music from West Texas State University in 1970. He married Sheila Kay Fowler in 1969 and they embarked on a statewide tour of Texas as he taught in Bovina, Grand Saline, Dublin, Phillips, Jayton, Sonora, Sundown, Dumas, Iraan, and Ingleside. He completed his Masters in Education at Tarleton State University in 1982.
His bands were consistent sweepstakes winners and made numerous appearances at the Texas State Marching Contest, medaling twice. He impacted so many lives in his career and is loved and remembered by many students.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, three children, and ten grandchildren.
