It is with heavy hearts that we announce our beloved, Miguel Alonzo Rubio, has left us for better pastures. He gained his wings on June 03, 2020 at 12:30 am, after a short illness.

He has left this world and on to the next, where he has joined his parents: Mr. Refugio V. Rubio and Mrs. Maria De La Luz Jimenez; his brothers Marco Antonio Rubio and Mario Alberto Rubio; and his wife Lydia Rubio.

He was employed with the Corpus Christi Independent School District as a daytime custodian. A perfect afternoon for Miguel would be sitting out on pier fishing; gathered around with his family and friends enjoying their company. Although he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in our hearts forever.

He leaves behind his sisters: Maria Elvira Rubio from Rosenberg, Mrs. Maria Rose Gonzalez(Fernando), and brother Luis Rubio(Estella) from Corpus Christi, half-brother Ray Valenzuela (Diana) from Harlingen, and half-brother George Rubio from Corpus Christi; as well as numerous nephews and nieces, and many close friends along the way.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 5, 2020, at 11:30 am at Guardian Funeral Home at 5922 Crosstown Access Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78417. Internment will follow in Memory Gardens at 1:00 pm and is located at 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415.
