Michael David Woodrome gained his wings and went home to be with our Lord on May 7, 2023. He was 64. Mike was born in Mercedes, Texas on August 19, 1958. He was raised with a great set of parents, Dorthy Gibson and Charles J. Woodrome, Sr. who loved him dearly. Mike and his older brother Charles J. Woodrome, Jr. were very close and had many fun times along with other family members.

Mike met the love of his life when he was 17 years old. Dorothy worked in the hospital where he was a patient after a motorcycle accident. She took care of him and has been by his side for the last 35 years of Marriage and have known each other for 47 years in all. Mike worked in the Oil Field and then went on to work Heating and Air Conditioning for 30 years. Mike loved to laugh, joke, and aggravate. His favorite past time was riling up his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and he especially took delight in annoying his Mother-in-Law – Lynn Lewis. His family was his life. Mike loved his dogs and taught them various tricks. He and Dorothy would send messages back and forth by placing notes under Roxy's collar. Mike was a great Son, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and a good neighbor, he will be dearly missed. He was always willing to help anyone who needed it. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Dorthy Gibson and Charles J. Woodrome, Sr. Also, by his three brothers, Neal Paul Mays, Johnny Mays, Charles J. Woodrome, Jr., one sister Paula Neff, and his father-in-law Miles Lewis.

Mike is survived by his wife Dorothy Lewis Woodrome, His mother-in-law Lynn Lewis, and his children Shaylynn Thompson, Buddy Thompson (Valerie), and Micha Steinmann (Wade). His grandchildren Sydney, Randall, Shelby and Sophie Rittgers, Hannah Thompson and his two great grandchildren Lillian and Avery Robbins. His brothers James Mays (Janie) and Tim Stowe (Tammie). His sisters Gini Sanders (Ronnie), Sherrie Carscadden, and Jerrie Patterson (Jimmy) and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church, 2421 Gollihar Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415, following with an Inurnment Ceremony, Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415, at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Kenny Eiben officiating.
