God looked around his garden and He found an empty place.
He then looked down upon this earth and saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you and lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering.
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb.
So He closed your weary eyelids and whispered "Peace be Thine".
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone.
For part of us went with you the day God called you home.

Michael Eldon Van Meter passed away peacefully on December 30, 2023. He was born July 31, 1965 to the late Barbara Jane Van Meter and Eldon Leon Van Meter In Corpus Christi, Texas.

Michael was kind, sensitive, and adventurous living each day as he wanted. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He had a special fondness for his nieces and nephews and his friends in the Nueces River community.

Michael enjoyed floating on the Frio River, fishing, riding motorcycles, racing and watching the Dallas Cowboys.

He attended Tuloso Midway and was active in the Nueces County Livestock Show. He went on to work alongside his father at Maintech, Inc. for many years.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and two sisters. He is survived by 1 brother, two sisters, 3 nephews,2 nieces , 4 great nephews and 3 great nieces.

Memorial Services will be privately held by the family.
