Michael John Van Dyke left this life suddenly and far too early on July 28, 2013.
Mike was born March 29, 1980 in New York City, and spent the last 16 years of his life in Corpus Christi, Texas. Mike loved his family and friends, his country and his football.
Mike was a recent graduate of Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. He was known for his enormous heart, his silly humor and his amazing homemade hamburgers. Mike was a kind and generous man, leaving a lasting impression on the lives of those he met and making this world a better place for it.
Missing him terribly are Merrin, his wife and best friend of 16 years; his nephew Mason who loved nothing more than a 'guy's night' with Uncle Mike; Kim, Mom #2 and biggest fan; Leslie, true friend and sister-in-law; and his 2 four-legged furry children Zoey and Duke. Countless others mourn this great loss.
Waiting in Heaven to greet him was his grandmother, Grace Van Dyke- a very special person.
A memorial service will be held at Guardian Funeral Home, Saturday August 3, 2013 at 3:00pm.
In honor of Mike, the family asks that an act of kindness be made in his memory.
Services are entrusted to All Faith Cremation and Funeral Service of Ingleside, Texas.
