Michael (Big Mike) Snyder, 60, died suddenly on June 19, 2016. Michael was born in 1955 to Wayne Strickland and Minnie Lou Vaughn in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was later adopted by Ray Snyder, his step-father.
Michael enlisted in the Airforce in 1972 and was honorably discharged, returning to Corpus Christi where he led a diverse and eclectic life, working with electronics, sound and light production and as a surfing/sailboard technician.
He married Linda Marie Snyder in 1984 and was happily married for 32 years at the time of his death. He was a loving Father to his step-son, Benjamin Eilermann and the best years of his life were spent with his granddaughters, Kayla and Lilly Eilermann.
Michael loved the outdoors, especially fishing at Fish Pass on Mustang Island. His love of animals is legendary, leaving four dogs and seven cats to mourn his passing. He was a friend to all and will be missed dearly.
A Remembrance Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Guardian Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas.
