Michael "Big Mike" Shoffield was 46 years old. He passed away on September 1st, 2023. He was born on February 21, 1977 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was a proud craftsman and skilled finish carpenter. He excelled in this trade for 25 years. He was an avid fisherman, an award winning grill master, gifted cook, the pyrotechnic of all celebrations and enthusiast of football loyal to the San Francisco 49ers. Michael was a lifelong friend to many. He was a faithful and loving husband of 27 years. Michael and Norma were married on January 6th, 1996. He was a proud father of three children whom he loved dearly.

Michael is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Manuel J. Cavazos and Antonia Cavazos, paternal grandparents, Thomas Shoffield and Patricia Rucker and Steve Rucker (step grandfather). Honorary grandmother Catherine Olivo. Cousins Alejandro Longoria III and Dionne Paige Gauna. Honorary sister Sylivia "Chiva" Martinez.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Norma Jean Shoffield, his children; Savana Ondrea Shoffield, Serena Delye Shoffield, Michael Stone Shoffield. His parents, Frank Shoffield and Maria Shoffield. His sisters Gloria Villarreal (husband George Villarreal) and Christy Shoffield. His nieces and nephews Andrew Villarreal, Brandon Cantu, Karmen Simpson, James "Jimbo" Simpson, Dane Olivo, Chloe Cantu, Abigail Villarreal as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Our Savior Lutheran Church located on 808 Louisiana Pkwy, Corpus Christi, Texas 78404. The service will begin at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 16th, 2023.
